Blog: Everybody loves a Cinderella story

Here’s a great example of the power of social media and their influence in the age we’re living in.

A blogger from a T.V. station got some footage of a homeless man in Ohio; the man had a sign that said: “I have a god given gift of voice, I’m an ex-radio announcer that have fallen into hard times..”. The blogger uploaded the video, it went viral and today, Ted Williams “The Homeless Man with the Golden Voice” is worth 19,200,000 Google hits, and close to 11 million Youtube views, and the most amazing part …in just 4 days.

His story has been televised, printed, the reunion with his mother was broadcast, he’s landed a gig to work for an NFL club, and numerous companies including Microsoft had called him..…in just 4 days.

Ted created an honest ad that got the attention of a person, that posted it online, that went viral and changed his life.

There’s a lot to learn from this story.
